Americana International, Bench Clothing
Various projects throughout the UK Involving the refurbishment of full mechanical services including ductwork, low-pressure hot water and DX air conditioning systems to several stores nationwide. These included: Cheshire Oaks, Nottingham, Chester, Cabot Circus Bristol, Brighton, Leeds, Manchester, Street. Some of this work involved re placing old existing R22 systems with Mitsubishi Heavy industries R410a inverter driven equipment. Before commencing the works a full costing exercise was carried out to ascertain which stores needed new kit and which stores needed some TLC on the A/C.
SGM Solicitors, Stockport
SGM have recently moved into larger office premises at the Embankment business park in Heaton Mersey, Stockport. We have fitted heat pump equipment which will supersede the combination boiler in providing heating and cooling for the open plan office space, server room and several smaller offices. We worked closely with their builder to bring the project in on time and budget with no disruption to the office space below. The system is working well and should cost around one third less to heat during the winter than using the boiler.
Thistle Hotel Liverpool (sub contract work)
Cross Air Conditioning have been working with the multi national air conditioning company for many years and were asked to supply labour and materials for this particular job. The work involved de commissioning a vrv on the eighth floor of the Thistle hotel and fitting a R410 inverter driven replacement. A crane lift was used to get the old unit off and new unit in place. Whilst the job was on going the eighth floor was shut down and re opened again within the time frame allowed for the project. Each room has a 3.5kw-ducted system with restricted controller in each room to allow for simple usage of the system.
Tag Watches, Bicester Village
This was a shop refurbishment for one of the shop fitters we work closely with. We were asked to fit a ducted system with the ductwork running within the bulkhead, all grilles were powder coated to mach the interior of the unit.
Heaton Moor Medical Centre, Stockport
We were asked to provide some comfort cooling to two consulting rooms which suffered from excessive heat during the summer months and cold during the winter. Both of these rooms where at the front of the building and had difficult access. Working closely with the health centre manager we were able to complete the installation of two 3.5kw wall mounted units. Part of this work was carried out during the evening so as not to disrupt surgery timetables.
Tithe Barn School, Heaton Mersey
We have fitted nine units in total at Tithe Barn school. Three of these were in the ICT suite and are the only form of heating. The remainder were in the classrooms with south facing windows. The installation of these units has greatly improved pupil concentration levels in the summer and provides back up heating during the winter months.
