What is VRF/VRV?
A VRF/VRV system normally includes a single external condensing unit, with any number of air handling units connected to it. The heating/cooling output of these units are adjusted in one of several ways:
- A variable speed compressor to adjust refrigerant flow
- Multiple compressors that offer different output capacity

As you adjust the thermostat, the system will circulate only the minimum volume of refrigerant needed to achieve the target temperature, operating at maximum efficiency.In commercial premises, this can be combined with automated controls to turn the aircon off when there are no humans present or windows and doors are left open.
