Wall Mounted Air Conditioner Installation, Service and Repair
Wall-mounted air conditioning is our most popular option among households and small workplaces. They are incredibly versatile, with minimal structural interference to your property. The end result is neat, compact, and allows you to cool one room at a time as and when you need to.
Because wall-mounted systems are designed to run very quietly, they are suitable for smaller spaces and domestic settings, including bedrooms. The wall unit itself has a very small physical footprint, just taking up a little wall space and zero floor space.
Cross Air Conditioning have been supplying, installing and maintaining air conditioning systems across South Manchester and Cheshire for more than 20 years.
Our City and Guilds qualified engineers can help you choose the right air conditioning unit for your property and install it to a high standard, without any fuss or mess.

What is a wall-mounted system?
There are several different types of wall-mounted air conditioning unit. On this page we are referring to high-level wall-mounted a/c, where the unit is mounted to the wall at ceiling height. This means it cools the warmest air in the room, as warmer air rises, so you get great energy efficiency from your unit.
What are the benefits of wall-mounted systems?
Wall-mounted air conditioning has many benefits, some of which we’ve already mentioned:
- Compact unit with zero effective floor space needed
- High-level mounting cools warmest air in the room
- Very quiet – suitable for home offices and bedrooms
- Infra-red remote control for easy adjustments
- Cooling & heating
- Plasma air purifying systems available
This is our most popular type of air conditioning model for all of these reasons and more. Contact us today to find out if wall-mounted air conditioning is a good solution for your property.
How does wall-mounted aircon work?
The air conditioning unit itself is mounted on an interior wall, close to ceiling height. This can be an external wall with a condensing unit outside to dissipate the heat.
Low-level wall-mounted air conditioners are also available, as well in the LG ArtCool series which disguises the air conditioning as an artwork instead of a visible unit.
How energy efficient are wall-mounted air conditioners?
We can supply wall-mounted air conditioning with inverter technology, which controls the speed of the compressor.
This means the motor can provide a steady-state output which is more energy efficient than switching the air conditioning fully on and off as the air temperature fluctuates.
